Multi-Media Graphics

Picture
This was a header image for a mailer I developed for InDesign Class.  I used both Photoshop, and Corel Painter XI to create this image.  The brochure was for a fictitious river guide service based out of the Denver area.  The Pleasant Pheasant featured hand-tied flies, and boasted a unique gourmet riverside experience.

Digital Graphic Art

Picture
This was the front of a cd cover I designed for my second Photoshop class.  It was a midterm project.  The complete design includes artwork with a song list on the back and liner notes on the inside cover.

I took three Photoshop classes all together.  The first two classes were taught more from a graphic design standpoint.  The third class was strictly for photographers.  It was called digital darkroom.

Photo Restoration

Picture
Speaking of Digital Darkroom, here's a nifty trick I learned in that class.  As Photos age, they have a tendency to fade.  The colors become flat and desaturated.  Fortunately, technology has breathed new life into these dusty old pictures.  Through the magic of Photoshop, we can turn back the clock on precious heirloom images.  Even badly torn prints can be made whole again, with little to no evidence of any previous damage.

To the left, we have a photo that is aging, and badly faded.  There were no major scratches or tears in this image, so this was a fairly quick restoration.  The key to a successful restoration is a high resolution scan performed on a clean scanner, and a high-end photo editing software.  If you have some aging photos in need of some love, contact us.  We can help.

Logos

Picture
I designed this logo for my creative firm, Cato Digital Inc.  Contrary to all that you may have learned about the primary colors on the color wheel; in the digital world, the primary colors are red, green, and blue . . . or RGB.  For this logo, I used the concept of red, green, and blue inks flowing into and filling a sniper reticule.

Because it was created in Illustrator, it is a vector object and only needs to be designed once.  In other words, no matter how big or small I want to make this logo, it will never lose it's resolution.  From web banners to billboards; these graphics are very versatile, and can easily be adapted to every feature of your marketing strategy.
